perfume: the story of a murderer.

Do judge a book by its cover.

Brief: Penguin Modern Classics are redesigning some of their book covers and have commissioned me to produce photographic material that will be used in their two new book cover designs. The assignment is to use product photography for the other. 

The book that I picked is titled ‘Perfume: The Story of a Murderer’ where it tells the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an unloved orphan in 18th-century France who is born with an exceptional sense of smell, capable of distinguishing a vast range of scents in the world around him. He ends up murdering several women to capture ther unique scents.
